Why the file name is Linux when there is no Linux version in it?

Why is it that every freaking update I have to start all over again? What's the point of having saves if the game crashes every time you try to load one? Too bad, I'm done!

Can't run the game in Linux. No matter what choice I make at the start, I cannot check any boxes at step 5. Click continue and crashes.
